NaBloPoMo day 11.
This afternoon I did something that comes absolutely naturally to me. I took my glasses off and proceeded to clean them on the bottom of my shirt. I was in the middle of making dinner and they had become a little smudged. As I rubbed, I felt a snap. The frame surrounding my right lens snapped.
The first question out of Sultry Husband’s mouth was “Do you have a spare?” Um, no I don’t. The reason why I bought this current pair of glasses, was because I broke the last pair. Now before you think that I am hard on glasses, know that the previous pair lasted me four years before I had a problem. This time though, I bought a cute little wire pair that are very light. And red.
SH tried to finish dinner while I ran into the office where I keep the super glue. For this to really make sense, I must say that for many people glasses just help. They help you see signs, read books, drive without an accident, etc. You get my point. For me, glasses are a necessity. I am blind people! If I wave my own hand in front of my face, it looks like a fleshie colored blob about the size of a hand.
Lets just hope that the super glue can hold till payday. Come on November 15th!
