The NaBloPoMo people have a really cute little icon with my picture in it that I could use. If I could only figure out how to embed it and actually have it show up. Ugh. Sometimes I wish that I knew more about html, yet I really don’t care enough to figure it out.
Have any of you ever watched an old cartoon that came packaged with the Sleepy Hollow cartoon movie? It was called “the adventures of Mr. Toad”. It was all about this rich, eccentric old toad who gets sucked into new hobbies that excite him. He goes absolutely crazy when he finds his new mania. In the movie, it is the motor car. Then it is an airplane. But I digress. Sultry Husband and I laugh about the “Mania” idea. We find new things to be excited about it. It is a bit of a joke around here, if one of us thinks that the other has discovered something new and somewhat strange, we call each other Mr. or Mrs. J Thadius Toad.
I have found a new mania. It is a beautiful mania, really it is.
I want them! I want them all! Basically they are like my Christmas village, but with spooky Halloween themes! Man are these things cool. I must pace myself, one a year perhaps. Or at $50 a pop, perhaps every other year. I need to go watch good ole’ J Thadius and reconnect. If I were really Mrs. J Thadius, I could afford the entire collection now. That would be sweet!
